IPH related databases
To advance watermark research, IPH wishes to unify registration
standards and connect watermark databases world-wide by the Web. For this
purpose, IPH has edited an International Watermark Registration Standard.
According to this standard, the Swiss Paper Museum is preparing a special
software (for PC), which will be issued in 2000. This software comprends:
- the IPH Watermark Registration Standard
- advise for use of scanners
- a watermark database system for storing watermark data and images according to the IPH Standard
- a watermark image comparing and retrieving system
- a web connection tool.
A provisional version of the retrieval system is already on the web
